Dr Cosmas Ekezie

General Practitioner/Director

Cosmas Chike Ekezie was born in Nigeria, graduated from University of Nigeria Medical school in 1996.

Holds a diploma in child health from Westmead and is a fellow of RACGP.

He loves general practice; psychological medicine, child health and chronic disease management are areas of particular interest  to him.

He loves sports -soccer, tennis, volley ball, athletics and enjoys a discussion around politics. 

Dr Nnamdi CK Ibekwe

General Practitioner

Dr Ibekwe has had extensive medical training in the areas of General Practice, Occupational Medicine and Health, Public and Preventative Health and Family Medicine. He has specialist interest in obstetrics and gynaecology and general surgical procedures. In his spare time enjoys watching soccer and reading. 

Dr Carol Tung

General Practitioner

Carol completed her undergraduate degree in medical science at the University of Technology, Sydney before moving to Canberra to study medicine at the Australian National University. After graduating in 2009 she move back to Sydney and worked there for the next few years with some time also spent in Nowra, Goulburn and Albury before relocating to the Central Coast. Carol has an interest in womens' health and preventative medicine.

Dr Aaron Zea Yomona

General Practitioner

Dr Aaron Zea Yomona comes from Lima, Peru. He graduated from Universidad de San Martin de Porres Medical School in 2006 and has been working in General Practice in the Central Coast since 2014. He enjoys his job very much  and has a special interest in Chronic Disease management and Mental Health. Whenever he is not thinking about medicine he is likely to be watching a movie or table top games.

Dr Shannon Marsh

General Practitioner

Shannon Marsh graduated with his Bachelor of Medicine/ Bachelor of surgery from University of Queensland in 2013 after working for 4 years as a pharmacist. He is a fellow of the RACGP and enjoys forging ongoing therapeutic relationships with patients. He is particularly interested in Child Health, Antenatal care and General Practice. When he is not working, he is trying to entertain his 3 children or wash his car.

Michelle Hines

Registered Nurse

Michelle is a very experience nurse with  20 years experience as a practice nurse.  Her  interests are in diabetic health and women’s health although enjoys all aspects of practice nursing.   Previous to working as a practice nurse Michelle worked in Country Victoria and the UK hospital system.

Jane Farnworth

Practice Manager

Jane has been with the practice since the opening in 2012. She enjoys the different aspects of her role and enjoys the challenges. In her spare time she enjoys travelling and spending time with her young family. 

Lisa Ashcroft

Receptionist

Lisa has enjoyed a career as a medical receptionist  for the last 20 years and started at Northlakes in 2012.

Lisa prides herself on being professional  with administration,  patient support and attention to detail while building long term patient relationships.

Louise Catania

Receptionist

Louise has been a medical receptionist for many year at a number of doctors across the coast and has extensive experience in the industry.

 What she enjoys most about being a medical receptionist is the relationships that is formed with the patients.

Louise is a valued team member and really enjoys helping people and  gets a lot of satisfaction seeing peoples health improving. 

Telena Jones

Receptionist

Telena has been a part of the Northlakes and Eastlakes team since 2012. She enjoys being able to attend to patient needs. In her spare time Telena enjoys cooking and making morning tea for the team which is always very appreciated by all!

Jessica McNamee

Receptionist

Jessica is primarily based at Eastlakes. She has recently commenced on her journey towards studying to become a nurse. 

She is a strong supporter of healthy life style and  is a very considerate team orientated worker. 

She Must drink coffee in the morning to function.

Lauren has worked in the medical and dental industry for many years. She brings a wealth of experience to the team and you will see her smiling face at Northlakes or Eastlakes. She enjoys her front desk role and getting to know patients. 

In her spare time she enjoys sports, spending time at the beach and time with her young family.

Dr Vijay Balasundaram

Dr Vijaya Kumar Balasundaram

Vijay has extensive experience of working as GP in NSW. He has Fellowship of Royal Australian College of GPs. He enjoys all aspects of general practice. He has particular interests in skin cancer surgery and managing chronic diseases namely diabetes, obesity and chronic lung disease.

My name is Dr Ash, I've joined the team at Eastlakes Medical Centre. I am passionate about all areas of general practice, with a particular interest in ear, nose and throat problems having worked in the field before. 

Jo Brindley

Practice Nurse and Diabetes Educator

Jo is a very experience nurse in community health and Practice nursing. She is a credentialed Diabetes educator with 5 years experience in diabetes. Her interests are in Chronic disease management and diabetes as well as preventative health. Prior to working as a practice nurse, Jo worked as a Diabetes Educator in Western NSW

Karen Webb

Lake Macquarie Psychology

Karen is a Clinical Psychologist who has over 20 years practising as a registered psychologist, working with clients from adolescence until late adulthood, with diverse needs.

 

She has extensive experience in working with people who have experienced trauma, and/or many other mental health or other life struggles.  She uses a variety of psychological approaches and interventions, dependent upon the client’s circumstances, including the following therapies: CBT; ACT; trauma-focussed; narrative; schema; solution-focussed; and EFT.

 

Karen is an Approved Victims Services (NSW Dept. of Communities and Justice) Counsellor, as well as being registered as a Medicare and SIRA (NSW Workers’ Compensation) allied health provider.   She also meets with private clients, and those who have private health insurance eligibility for psychological services.

Dr Adrienne Searle

General Practitioner Registrar

I am a GP Registrar with an interest in Women’s Health.  I have worked in Hospitals around NSW and worked for two years in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.   In my career prior to Medicine I worked as a Civil and Environmental Engineer in Australia and Overseas.

 

I look forward to developing partnerships with my patients to assist them to lead healthier, longer lives.

 

Out side of work you’ll find me playing with my children, swimming, reading, practicing Yoga, playing piano or on a four wheel driving adventure!
